An L.L.Bean customer from Wauwatosa, Wisconsin sent us these boots with an illustrious past. In 1946 the parents honeymooned on a little island off the coast of Maine. The mom was outfitted for the trip in head-to-toe L.L.Bean, including these Bean Boots. Over the years, all the kids used to fight over who got to wear the boots while shoveling snow, until they all eventually outgrew them. The family wanted to return these beloved boots back to their place of origin - 64 years later. We loved the boots…and the story so much, that we decided to place them in our company archives to live forever. Thanks so much to the family for sharing this gift with L.L.Bean. *Did you notice the Bean Boot bottoms?
